Bespoke Kitchens and bathrooms (Timber Cabinets)
These are fit for purpose and able to withstand the rigours of daily life and especially contact with water. We have optimised a standard cabinet design in its basic form which can then have different door styles and door frame styles tailored to your needs. We can accommodate any period.
General specifications
-
We do not use any MDF, hardboard or chipboard, in our products. The construction is designed to allow for the components expansion/contraction and move together with one another, this includes solid worktops. This prevents problems with splitting, cupping and pulling gaps.
-
Timber is generally solid English character grade oak from a stock thickness of 27+mm, resulting in a finish size of around 24mm (near 1 inch thick). Laminations are only in the width and generally from wide staves. The backs are made from 9mm thick faced ply.
- All main carcass joints wherever possible are sliding dovetail with the very best waterproof adhesives.
- Drawer construction is from same stock with dovetails in all four corners. The standard base is a solid 9mm thick faced ply.
- Doors are manufactured again all from the same stock and with haunched mortice and tenon joints, cross pegged if desired.
- Worktops are made to desired thickness and laminated from good wide stock. (No waste materials finger joined).
- Hardware/architectural is sourced from a local dealer who appreciates quality. We can offer from traditional to modern with soft close etc.
European oak Bathroom

These were probably the best spec cabinets we have made. European oak for every component all bar the ply back panel.
