Bespoke Windows
We can produce many different styles of window including basic square edge or moulded profile. There is almost no limit to the size either.
Our own uniquely designed window draws from nearly 30 years of experience. It is in keeping with many architect requests for the traditional look of flush sash with ovalo profile moulding to both sash and frame.
Its main difference is the switch to an angled rebate. This addresses a few issues, firstly there is now no horizontal surfaces for rain to sit greatly increasing coating, glazing and frame lifespan. Secondly the waste machined from the rebate is normally just that, but as it is now a taper section, this is now utilised to make the glazing beading.
Some of its other features
-
Double tenon to both frame and sash.
-
Drained and vented glazing option stops misting of glazing units (achieved through the angled rebates and natural water runoff).
-
Traditional recessed or friction hinge options.
-
Hardwood sill option even with softwood mainframe.
-
Traditional cockspur or espagnolette multi point high security locking.
-
Traditional stays or friction variants.
-
Generous section size 86 x 58mm
-
Section sizes are designed to make best use of standard stock sizes so reducing waste and maximising its potential.
-
Sash opening will never foul frame as the rebate forms a lead in and out.
-
Factory fitted weather sealing.
-
Glazing low emissivity coated to building regulations 28mm to frame and 24mm to sash (other options available).
-
Trickle ventilators are flush on the inside and no unsightly cowl is used on the outside.
Watch this space
We are currently working on some new ideas for an even more advanced window. It will pursue the lowering of thermal and sound conductivity. This will be achieved through
-
Thicker or triple glazing.
-
Yet thicker section sizes.
-
Double weather sealing.

Note the sloped rebates and multi tenon joints. This sample has no sill as was designed for concrete one.
